UEA runner Hollie Rowland stormed to a gold medal with the GB under-23 women’s team at the European Cross Country Championships in Dublin over the Christmas break. Rowland, who currently trains with UEA Athletics and the City of Norwich, ran a storming race as she finished an impressive fifth place out of sixty competitors.
The team championships award scores were based on the aggregate positions of each nation’s runners, and Rowland’s fifth position, allied with several other impressive GB performances, saw GB take the gold medal from a strong Russian challenge.
