Best of the Baftas

The Baftas always guarantee tons of glitz and glamour, with film and television’s biggest names all dressing to impress. The awards were held at the Drury Lane Theatre in London in late May, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Monochrome was a popular look amongst the attendees, as was embellishment and sparkles, making for a truly glamorous evening. House of Fraser dressed many of the celebrities, something often unheard of at such a big event. The High Street store offered the celebs lots of freebies their profits look set to rocket thanks to such endorsements. Here is a roundup of what we think are the best looks of the 2014 Baftas.

Emily Atack

An unusual look from the Inbetweeners star. Dresses are the usual attire for these sorts of red-carpet events, however her androgynous look was a hit. Emily looked gorgeous in her all-black Mary Portas at House of Fraser suit, finished with some gorgeous accessories – can we please talk about that clutch? The tailored suit is a risky look that will always make an impact, and Emily makes one for all the right reasons. Her new ombré hair and strong lip colour complete the look.

Millie Mackintosh

The former Made in Chelsea star also opted for a strong lipstick shade, and her stylish, slicked-back pony went perfectly with her embellished Julien Macdonald dress. The simple accessories complimented her dress perfectly. By toning down her accessories, Millie really let her dress take centre stage. Judging by her Instagram and Twitter posts, Millie’s husband Professor Green certainly looked pleased with his wife’s outfit.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi looked sensational at the event, and as a supermodel it’s not surprising. She showcased her incredible body in a cut-away Roberto Cavalli floor-length dress, and the gorgeous colour was perfect for her skin tone. Like Millie, she kept her accessories simple, letting the dress do the talking.

Maddy Hill

A world away from her character Nancy in EastEnders, Maddy looked sensational in a beautiful red dress. She matched her nails to her dress, and kept accessories to a minimum – with a simple black clutch and small earrings. Her soft up do and makeup made sure that Maddy looked like a real princess.

Rochelle Humes

The Saturdays favoured the monochrome look, and her gorgeous dress looked amazing. Her makeup was simple but effective as she wore a deep lip colour and kept her hair straight and sleek. Rochelle’s clutch shows how a black box bag is definitely a great staple piece for any wardrobe.
