UEA will be determined to wrestle back the coveted crown, having slumped to a 27 – 16 defeat last year. The Yellows will undoubtedly benefit from home advantage this year but Essex won’t be going down without a fight and UEA students can look forward to witnessing an array of closely fought encounters.
Showpiece events are taking place throughout the day, with Men’s Football playing at City Academy at 2pm. Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Tennis, Lacrosse, Badminton and Ultimate Frisbee are all competing too, with Women’s Hockey being the highlight event at 5pm.
Concrete Sport will be covering several events live so make sure you follow us on Twitter to keep on top of all the action, using the official hashtag #DerbyDay2013. Our friends at UEA: TV will also be at events to capture footage and Livewire 1350 will also be providing updates.
Concrete will also have a live blog dedicated to Derby Day, which will feature tweets from fans who use #DerbyDay2013, along with seven pages of match reports in the next issue of Concrete.
