Following reports of a fire in one of the Norwich Market stalls Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at around 5.30pm yesterday. It is believed the fire originated in Falafel and Friends.
The fire was reported by a member of the public who saw the smoke coming from the Market.
Emergency services on the scene said no one had been inside the stall at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
Norfolk Police set up a cordon around the market as firefighters from three crews attempted to access and extinguish the fire inside the locked stall without allowing it to spread.
Emergency services stayed on the scene for a number of hours. The source of the fire is not yet known.
